To βράδυ της Κυριακής 9 Ιανουαρίου πραγματοποιήθηκε η 79η ετήσια απονομή των Χρυσών Σφαιρών στο ξενοδοχείο Beverly Hilton στο Λος Άντζελες της Καλιφόρνια και παρά το ότι η τελετή δεν θύμιζε την παλιά αίγλη των βραβείων και ήταν προσαρμοσμένη στις νέες συνθήκες της Covid- 19, τίμησε για άλλη μια χρονιά ταινίες και σειρές που ξεχώρισαν την περασμένη χρονιά.
